Carefree Boat Club Buffalo: Boating without Owning

By Aby Zurowski & Serena Leatherbarrow

Looking for a carefree way to enjoy summer on the water without committing to an intimidating boat purchase? Carefree Boat Club Buffalo has you covered! Carefree Boat Club (CBC) is a new alternative to renting or buying a boat. CBC is a membership-only boat club that allows its members to enjoy the boating lifestyle for a fraction of the cost of owning.

Boating with CBC is a completely stress-free experience as they take care of the typical boating worries as members sit back to enjoy the luxuries. Additionally, the organization has 104 locations and counting around the world, allowing members to take out a boat at their convenience wherever they may be. The 716 is lucky enough to have their own location in North Tonawanda at the East Pier Marina.

Carefree Boat Club Buffalo's location allows easy access to a number of local destinations. Whether you want to cruise down the Niagara River, float through the Erie Canal, visit the Peace Bridge, venture to local islands, enjoy WNY's fishing opportunities, or dock at a restaurant on the water, CBC's location makes everyone happy.

Carefree Boat Club is the ideal boating experience as members can enjoy the luxuries of owning a boat without the dreaded expenses of insurance, towing, cleaning, maintenance, storage, dock fees, and more. This membership experience is all smiles and no worries with unlimited boat use, easy booking, "spur of the moment boating," fueled & cleaned boats, and a friendly dock staff ready to assist you. Carefree Boat Club grants its members boating access before, during, and after hours, as well as overnight usage.

CBC makes it a top priority to ensure that their members are comfortable and confident on the water. In doing so, beginners receive a two to five hour hands-on water training course to learn the in's and out's of boating. Training is lead by certified boating instructors and covers CBC procedures, docking, safety, and general navigation. Even experienced boaters are trained on the specifics of the boat they are operating.

In terms of the boats themselves, Carefree Boat Club takes care of vacuuming and sanitization between every use. This unique service leaves members with a boat that looks nearly brand new. With CBC, you'll be ready to go upon arrival without worrying about your boat's appearance.

Carefree Boat Club's full-time dock staff rolls out the red carpet for its members. CBC dock staff is happy to assist members in loading up their boats and casting off. At the local North Tonawanda location, members can even enjoy free parking at the marina.

For safety precautions, each member on the boat has a corresponding flotation device (individuals 12 and under must be wearing a life jacket while on the boat at all times). Boats contain 3 fenders, 2 dock lines, a fire extinguisher, a first aid kit, and a phone/radio to ensure members have the option to communicate with others while on the water. Additionally, all boats are inspected by CBC dock staff before use to guarantee boats will run smoothly and with ease.

Carefree Boat Club is a cost effective alternative to boat ownership. On average, the casual boater goes boating between 10-40 times a year (weather permitting); therefore, some boat owners do not get their money's worth and are overpaying while owning a boat. Buying a boat yourself could be around $40,000 while the initiation payment for Carefree Boat Club is as low as $3,500-$4,000 and only $399 a month! The process is simple as well! Think of it as renting a car, members must be at least 25-years-old while co-members must be at least 21.

Boating without owning, that's the Carefree way. To learn more about the membership opportunities at Carefree Boat Club Buffalo, call CBC at 855-716-BOAT or visit carefreeboats.com (linked below). You won't want to miss this one-of-a-kind opportunity.
