Fall Feelz: Crisp Weather

By: Kelli Huff

Watching the leaves fall from the strong winds and cascade down to the green grass is definitely nostalgic. As we prepare for the closing of summer we get ready for fall! There's no way to prevent the fall feels, especially in Buffalo. Nature and the weather change right before your eyes, as the green leaves dwindle orange, yellow and red make their debut for a short time and it feels as if you've traveled to another time period. It's the time of the year where you can go into your closet and pull out your favorite hoodie, a pair of boots and enjoy nature in a totally different way.

Pumpkin Patches begin to open, cider mills, corn mazes and haunted houses. You get to enjoy hay rides and most importantly football. With the wait over, the football season starts back up. The Bills Mafia should be excited to see what our quarterback Josh Allen has in store. The feeling of being at a game and enjoying the joy in the stands and sharing the excitement, even from home, will be a family activity all will enjoy. Sundays will become a celebration and a way to unwind from a busy work week.

Bills fans are the best around, so there's no doubt we are definitely going to make it to the Super Bowl this year. Last year's season definitely brought up player and fan morale. We can't wait to see what we are capable of this time around. Bills Mafia has always been resilient no matter the outcome of the season we will be sure to make the best of it!

With the celebration of holidays and the weather you began to see that the days are a little shorter and the nights are a little longer. The darkness provides the perfect setting for halloween. You begin to see the abundance of pumpkins and a flurry of orange decorations everywhere you go. The smell of pumpkin spice and cinnamon fill your nose.

As we get deeper into the colder months we celebrate different holidays that bring individuals together. You no longer need an excuse to get close to the ones you love because the weather does that for you. During fall people tend to stick close together and spend more time with family. We share fear, laugh at jokes and end the year off with hot cocoa.

Fall lets you know that the year is coming to an end. This is the time to prepare for next year and enjoy the time you have with your loved ones and friends. Covid has shown us that outside isn't always promised so it's best to enjoy the time we have right now!
