A local Buffalo business is rising into the spotlight this week due to its competitive fishing challenge. Buffalo Fishing Co. is an up and coming fishing apparel brand dedicated to the community of anglers that fish in Buffalo and its surrounding areas. Being an environmentally involved company, their mission is to increase awareness and support for local conservation efforts by donating 5% of their profits directly to support Buffalo fisheries.
This month on Buffalo Fishing Co.'s social media platforms, they are hosting a steelhead fishing challenge. By partnering with fishing enthusiast and Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Brian Winters, fans and followers on Instagram and Facebook are getting competitive to see who can reel in the biggest steelhead. The contest goes from November 23, 2020 to December 31, 2020. Any angler in the Buffalo area can submit a photo with a steelhead they caught to be entered into the challenge. The winner will receive surprise merchandise that will be totally worth the catch!
In order to be qualified for the challenge, the photo of the contestant must be up to date. To prove this, the angler may wear the Orange Challenge Lanyard (available for purchase on fishlocal.com ), wear a piece of Buffalo Fishing Co. gear, OR stick out their tongue. A picture with one of these three indicators will be counted in the challenge. All photos can be submitting by both Buffalo Fishing Co. and Brian Winters on Instagram. Check out @buffalofishingcompany on social media for more information to be a part of the challenge.
While supporting the Lake Erie region of the 716, Buffalo Fishing Co. is just one of the many partners with fishlocal.com. Others include Cleveland Fishing Co., Columbus Fishing Co., Detroit Fishing Co., Pittsburgh Fishing Co., and more. The companies sell everything from sweatshirts to stickers with many vibrant logos. All products are made with high quality material to ensure all anglers and fishing lovers are comfortable while doing what they love. These products are available for sale on their website.
