Located at 5429 Main Street in the village of Williamsville, New York, A’mano Pasta is a restaurant with enough options to make you want to sit down and order everything just to try it all!
With specials that make your mouth water to customization options that can make your head spin, I had the opportunity to sit down and indulge in their delicious culinary creations. Along with sampling two of the wines that they serve (one red, one white), the dishes that I was presented with were: Pappardelle alla Bolognese, Buffalo Chicken Macaroni and Cheese, Rigatoni alla Norma, and Jalapeño White Cheddar with Cavatelli. Each one was a delightful creation with fresh, house-made noodles, and assembled right in front of the customer’s very eyes.
Pappardelle alla Bolognese:
The Pappardelle alla Bolognese is a delectable creation with pappardelle pasta – wide and flat, not unlike fettuccine – and seasoned red sauce with beef and pork, then topped with shaved parmesan. As pictured above, I paired it with a glass of wonderful red wine.
Buffalo Chicken Macaroni and Cheese:
The Buffalo Chicken Macaroni and Cheese has a base of cavatelli pasta – pasta that resembles little shells – and is topped with rich white cheddar sauce, perfectly crunchy breadcrumbs, buffalo hot sauce, blue cheese crumbles, and a sliced and breaded chicken tender. Again, I chose to pair it with one of the many red wines that were offered.
Rigatoni alla Norma:
The Rigatoni alla Norma has a base of rigatoni pasta – a kind of pasta that is larger than penne with square-cut ends – and is topped with seasoned red sauce and eggplant, along with fresh basil and ricotta salata. Similarly to most of the dishes, I chose to pair it with red wine.
Jalapeño White Cheddar with Cavatelli:
The Jalapño White Cheddar with Cavatelli has a base of cavatelli pasta with a rich white cheddar cheese sauce and jalapeños. Topped with toasted breadcrumbs, shaved parmesan, and cilantro, this wonderful creation has just the right amount of bite. I chose to pair it with one of the several white wines that A’mano offers.
All of their signature dishes are served with rosemary focaccia – a delicious and flavorful Italian flatbread with a crisp exterior and wonderfully contrasting fluffy interior. Drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with parmesan cheese, it’s hard not to ask for an entire tray of it to take home!
